My Name Christopher – What’s in a name?

Christopher is a boy. He is something special. He is smart,and funny, and completely adorable. Being an amazing Christopher myself, I joined the Medicare set recently and after 65 years of having the name Christopher, the SSA and Medicare decided that it needed to be changed.
It hardly seems right that after 65 years that a damned programmer with our federal government decided that my name was too long.
Being somewhat pleonastic, It seems to me that a perspicacious, somewhat polished, percipient, pimple faced, programmer decided that ten characters was long enough for anyone with Medicare here in the Good Ole USA. My name and that of Maximiliano are the only two names out of the top 1000 names given to young boys in 2013. I don’t know any guys named Maximiliano. Do you? There must be more than five born in 2013 because when one studies the SSA (Social Security Administration) data, the say that to protect privacy, a name must be listed at least five times.
I did check the Urban Dictionary which usually casts many things in a bad light. To my surprise, the name Christopher, for the most part has many positive entries. Entry number one reads. “Maybe when you first meet a Christopher they’ll seem like a jerk, and hurt you emotionally multiple times, or possible make the lamest jokes but one day he’ll make up for it all, the best he can. Christophers will eventually realize the love that they’ve stored in a safe place for you. Christophers usually have the most gorgeous smile out there, and the most seductive voice. They’re someone you wouldn’t mind spending the rest of your entire life with. They have a tendancy to spend more time thinking of what to do for someone else than themselves. Christophers love adventure, new things, something to get their blood rushing and heart pounding. I love my Christopher, forever and always. That soldier, he keeps me sane. Take a deeper look at your Christopher before you let go, he might be the best thing that will ever happen to you.”
